About Advance Family History

Advanced family history is all about adding "meat to the bone". Through birth certifcates and censuses etc, you would have gained a good understanding about where your ancestors came from and what they did for a living.

Census are a great source of information however they only apper every ten years, what happened inbetween? This is where advanced family history comes in. There are many records that have survived the years with interesting peices of information about your ancestor(s) such as electorial registers, taken yearly you can find where your ancestor(s) lived. Also military records, did you ancestor(s) serve in the Great War or before?

Try and image that each ancestor has a timeline, and try a fill in every year with a fact and suddenly your ancestor who as just a name and a date, has a history.
